Deposix on mü (in German)

On 03/09/08, a report which centred on Deposix was broadcast on mü on the program “Manager TV”. This program showcases various IT companies which use best practice solutions, employexperts and specialize in the strategic implementation of information technology.

One of Deposix's reference customers is Axiros GmbH in Munich. Kurt Peterhans from Axiros has protected over 70% of all the company's software projects through escrow contracts. In his experience, the depositing of source code in escrow is an absolute requirement for doing business with big companies.

Kurt Peterhans, Member of the Axiros GmbH Management Board: “Since 2007, I'd say, we wouldn't be able to do any business at all anymore with the larger telecommunications companies if we weren't able to offer the option of software escrow.”

It can also be particularly beneficial for software users to sign an escrow contract. Any investments made are much better protected, for example in case the licence provider goes bankrupt.

Stephan Peters, CEO of Deposix Software Escrow: “As a rule of thumb, we recommend that an escrow contract be concluded for any licence volume above around 50,000 euros, but it may also be appropriate for much smaller licence volumes, for example, if the software is supporting functions in the company that are extremely critical in terms of safety.”
